Cartoons and Hockey Collide
This year's Animation Guild Holiday Party will be hosted at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank... on the same night that I have an ice hockey game at Pickwick Gardens. The party is from 6pm to midnight, while my hockey game is at 10:05pm.
So if things go as planned, I'll attend the holiday party for a few hours, then slip out, change, and play ice hockey. Maybe a few of my friends will walk next door to see me play for a few minutes and get a good chuckle out of it.
Unless my friends get liquored up at the holiday party. Then they'll stumble next door and yell things at me as I play.
"Get off the ice #91!"
"Learn to skate #91!"
"Your sense of story structure and ear for dialogue suck #91!"
Anyways, I know I have plenty of buddies who'll be at the holiday party. Just letting you know it'll be your chance to watch me flail about on the ice like a dork.

Only if you bring the big #1 finger to the holiday party. No leaving it in the car or checking it at coat check - you have to bring it with you. :)
Can I join the animation caucus just so's I can come to the holiday party? And Nicole- if you wear a big #1 finger at the party, I will too.
I had no idea that foam #1 fingers were so popular. Forget Tickle Me Elmo, clearly foam #1 fingers are the hot toy of the holidays...
What's the date of the party? Clearly it's going to be on a Friday, but other than that, this is the first I've heard of it! Am I on the list? What did I do to offend the AWC?

I think our fingers should be in festive holiday colors. Perhaps with tinsel on the outstretched digit.
But this isn't the AWC party - it's the TAG IATSE party. Info should be in the Animation Guild newsletter...
I know - how about we hang a bit of mistletoe off the tip of the finger and then we can just hold the big foam hand out over the head of any cute guys we want to kiss, and... oh, wait... these are animation writers. Never mind.
