Channeling my Inner Espenson

The reason I don't read Jane Espenson's blog? Because her lunches are always better than mine.

It never fails. Whenever I'm lunching on cold left-over Hamburger Helper, she's having filet mignon and yellowtail sashimi wrapped in a mango duck sauce. Whenever I'm choking down a balogna sandwich, she's having 1000 year-old eggs and a fresh salad from greens just picked from the farm. Whenever I'm scavenging for a meal from the moldy crumbs under my desk... well, you get the idea.

But this week - success! I had three great lunches. And because I've got nothing else to blog about, I'm sharing them here.

Monday, me and Doug got Chinese food in Studio City. Caught up on our respective fantasy hockey teams. His is doing better than mine. I had the double mushroom beef with brown rice.

Tuesday, me and Joaquim got Cuban food in Encino. I had the pork with the garlic mojo sauce.

And Thursday, me and Chris did the Hamburger Hamlet. I had the french dip with the salad - with the calamari and shrimp appetizer.

It was a good week for food. I'd talk smack, but I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be back to scrounging under the desk.
