March Music Diary

After missing February with the flu, the music diary returns. For those of you new to this, Cameron Crowe used to make a mix tape for every month of his life - then he could just listen to the music and remember all the things he did during that part of his life. A neat idea, so I stole it for my blog. Here's what I'm listening to this month-

Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis
A-Punk - Vampire Weekend
Time to Pretend - MGMT
Mercy - Duffy
Check Yes Juliet - We the Kings
Hometown Glory - ADELE
Seven Days of Lonely - I Nine
11h30 - Danger
Paradise - Ana Serrano van der Laan
My December (Live) - Linkin Park
Alice - Moby

They're calling Leona Lewis the British Mariah Carey/Whitney Houston. Bleeding Love is kind of a bland inoffensive pop song, but man, what a voice.

Saw Vampire Weekend on Saturday Night Live. Weirdos. Catchy catchy weirdos.

This is the time where I rave about iTunes and their free singles of the week. GET THEM! They're terrific, they're a wide range of styles, and they're free. I'd never heard of acts like MGMT, Duffy, We the Kings, ADELE, I Nine, Danger, and Ana Serrano van der Laan - but I do now.

Linkin Park released some live set from a New York concert. Nothing too noteworthy - except for this My December track, which barely even sounds like them.

Moby's track is getting play on Indie 103.1 - now it's in my iTunes.
