Words Travel Fast

Writer friends of mine are getting married later this year. Word about it got out through Facebook. And I chuckled about our changing world where we find out about our impending nuptials through the interwebs.

Now I found out an actress friend of mine is getting married next year. How did word of her impending nuptials get out? Apparently through PEOPLE MAGAZINE.

I suppose L.A. is another world unto itself sometimes.

Spike Jonze Trailers

Everyone's buzzing about the new trailer for Where the Wild Things Are. If you haven't seen it already, go and watch it now. It's an amazing trailer.

What is it about Spike Jonze that allows him to cut such amazing trailers? Well, besides his obvious talent. And his many years experience directing unforgettable music videos.

The Where the Wild Things Are trailer is amazing, but it just went to remind me how amazing his trailer was for Adaptation.

Back for more News & Plugs

A thousand apologies for the blog silence. Got busy, lazy, sick, lazy, and lazy.

I've also had to do some thinking about privacy issues regarding the blog. Three things happened that gave me pause.

First off, I had a bunch of fraudulent charges on my credit card. Had to get sent a new card, then had to do due diligence and make sure it was just a stolen card number and not full-blown identity theft. I know three other people who've had similar things happen to them in the past three months. Makes me think the economy has got criminals working overtime.

Second thing that gave me pause was a story a friend of mine told me about something he'd written coming back to bite him. Without giving away too much, he'd written a few online articles and joked about how in love he was with a particular actress. Many years later, he worked with that actress on a project... and she had READ HIS ARTICLES. Which reminds me, have I said recently how much I want to marry Angelina Jolie? Just saying for no reason in particular.

Third thing is that I'm using Facebook more and more to just tell people what I'm doing. Way back when, my friends could keep up with me through this blog. Now that I'm doing most of that through Facebook, I really should change what I do with this blog.

Anyways, that's what I've been doing. Thinking. So until the whole thinking thing is done, here're some updates-

-WonderCon in San Francisco was awesome. Great time had with great people. I should plug some of my friend's projects - new episodes of Spongebob Squarepants on Nickelodeon, the League of Super Evil on Monday nights on Cartoon Network, the Spectacular Spider-Man coming to Disney XD on March 23rd, and the Wonder Woman DVD is available in stores now.

-Plugging my own projects, Iron Man: Armored Adventures has a premiere date. Friday, April 24th on NickToons network.

-Comic Con hotel room reservations open this Thursday, the 19th. This is the time of year that I polish off my 2007 Comic Con Hotel Play-by-play that seems to be popular around the interwebs. Hopefully the reservation experience won't be as awful, but if the past few years are any example, it's going to be horrendous.
